MIA OUPV Course – Do not wait until the job opens! Be prepared!
Let us prepare you for this position. We have been providing individuals the MMC qualifications to meet the below requirements of the position.
The MIA position requires that you possess one of the following Merchant Mariner Credentials: Operator of Uninspected Passenger Vessels License (OUPV) or Master’s License or Deck’s Mate License at time of application.
Basic Requirement: You must possess and submit a legible copy of the pages showing the expiration date and capacity page of your vessel license. One of the following current United States Coast Guard issued licenses (Merchant Mariner Credentials) in order to qualify for this position:
- Masters License (any tonnage)
- Operator of Uninspected Passenger Vessel (OUPV) License
- Deck Mates License (Chief Mate, Second Mate and Third Mate) of greater than 200 gross tons
- Deck Mates License (Chief Mate, Second Mate and Third Mate) of 200 gross tons or less (Near Coastal and Offshore)
*Again, You must submit legible copies of the pages showing the expiration date and capacity of your license. There is no exception to this requirement. If you do not provide the requested pages from your MMC license you will be found ineligible for the Marine Interdiction Agent position.
