Available USCG-approved test locations are listed below for students wishing to test in person.

Ideally, but not required! students attending this course should have completed a minimum period of one year underway on vessels with ninety days of that experience acquired during the past three years. And preferably have gained some experience of watch standing on the relevant waters. In addition, have a Social Security Number, be at least 18 years of age, at least 360 days of experience since the age of 15 with 90 days have been within the last 3 years. You have one year after completing this course to meet the USCG requirements listed above.
